Footer section ( can be seen at the bottom ) of blogger will display as Powered by Blogger. Footer is used to add the copyright information and the notices related to it. If you want to make your blog look neater it is good to remove this.
If you have created a new blog in blogger with Simple template, it will display in the footer section of your blog as Simple template. Powered by Blogger.
Simple steps to remove this,
1. Visit the template section of your blogger dashboard.
2. Click on Edit HTML button. It will display HTML editor.
3. Click on Jump to Widget, under this select Attribution1. It will take you to the widget code containing word Attribution1.
4. Now change the below code
<b:widget id='Attribution1' locked='true' type='Attribution'>
to
<b:widget id='Attribution1' locked='false' type='Attribution'>
5. Click on Save template. Now widget gets unlocked.
6. Now visit Layout section.
7. Go to Edit section of Attribution widget in Layout. It will open a new window.
8. Click on Remove button.
9. Press OK button if it asks further approval from your side.
Now your blog is ready with the default blogger footer removed.
If you want your own Copyright information you can add it now.
